God has shown up so many places in my life in the past few weeks: home, work, family, etc. but the one time I know He came was a few weeks ago and I had cried out to Him. I simply asked Him to let me know He heard me and when I opened my Bible, I felt the need to read Psalms 34:15-19 "The eye of the Lord is on the righteous and His ears are open to their cry." God is truly working a miracle in my family and I PRAISE HIS NAME for His ultimate appearance in the midst of trouble.

I remember when God showed up in my life...It was in a little room in the back of a little church somewhere in GA...I remember how God moved in our lives that week...I know that since then my life has never been the same...And I feel like since that week God as showed up in my life again at various times, usually to wake me up inside, or to change my direction...But I remember what it's like to not have God show up in my life...and I try to recall that feeling often, I feel like it motivates me in my relationship with Him, because I know how empty my vessel is without Him there...And the feeling of not being close to Him is not a way that I wish to live this life.........

God always has a way of showing up in my life .. He does so many awesome things in my life and sometimes I don't even realize where all of these wonderful things are coming from .. but this past year he has done a lot of intense things that are absolutely amazing .. but to answer the question .. heshowed up in my life by bringing one of my friends to me at school and she asked me if what I feel and show and tell about Him.. feels like .. what it means .. why (if it is so great) that bad things can still happen to you .. and I was able to explain to her that when you have a relationship with God it doesn't mean that you are not going to go through struggles or problems .. I told her it's not His fault .. it's the devil trying to destroy what God has given us and even though bad things may happen to you .. you should never give up .. I told her if the devil ever tries to fight at you for you to fight back even harder with your faith and prayer .. thats where he showed up in my life recently .. he shows up everyday .. wether I am the only one to notice it or not .. he is always showing up ..

God has showed up in many aspects of my life, from work to family to online friends to real life friends. God has shown himself to me in a song on the radio or even in a TV program. The more I look for God everyday all around me, the more I see him. He has always been there, just waiting to be seen, to be noticed. This past week and half I have made more of an effort to be consistent with a daily devotional reading of the Bible, and the biggest thing I've noticed is a change in my attitude, how i see the day unfold around me, and how I deal with the people around me. I have been happier, less depressed, and more able to handle a difficult situation. But, the biggest change is the situations that have come up in my conversation with my clients.Not long ago I had a young man who I've counseled a few years now flat out tell me that the reason he is saved, and going to Church is due to me and how I would talk with him (when he asked me) of my relationship with God. This conversation really made me aware in a way I had never been before of the weight we carry as Christians to talk with others about God and Jesus and all he has done from our sake. I guess the long and short of it all, is that one way God showed up in my life this past week or so was by showing up in someone else's and I was honored and humbled to be a part of God's plan for that young boys life. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. God has showed in my life too many times for me to tell them all but one time that was recent was a few weeks ago when I became a Christian. This was a time that I could feel God's comfort. He just made me feel as if I had no problems. He gave me strength and will to do the things that i need and to also not do things I need to stay away from. This was by far the greatest thing that has ever happened in my life. He feels me up every week i go to church and keeps me on the right track. This was one of the major times God showed in my life.

We recently had a little annual Christmas get together w/ a handful of departments at work...Right before we began to eat, someone said we should have prayer, and they asked me to lead. This may not seem like much, but I know that was God opening up a door for me, because in a room full of 25- 30 people [some of them I know are Christians, but some of them I know are not] they chose me to lead in prayer. God shows up in our lives when we don't expect him to, but I've been tryin to allow myself to react the way He wants me to and not shy away...I really felt uneasy at that moment, I was thinkin "what if i say somethin that offends someone who is not a Christian?" But I knew instantly when they called my name that God had just then showed up in my life!!! I had to make a choice, shy away, or let his light shine in me!!!p.s. Heath's post really inspired me this week. I can see that God is doing great things in your life Heath, be encouraged that your light is shining bright!!! 3 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

I had been having some problems at work dealing with one of the managers. I had requested prayer several times but it seemed as though the problem had no end. At work I can pick up a Christian radio station out of Virginia. One of the ministers that gives daily devotions came on. He suggested that you turn off your radio some times and spend that time with God. I started thinking about the stress that I felt on my way to work and I figured John Boy and Billy could make it without me. So in the mornings I began to pray and seek God. The minister said you have to give God a chance to talk to you. I turned off the radio and opened myself up to God. Almost immediately, things at work changed for the better. I am still not happy with some of the things that go on at my work place but the attacks on me have ended and I am able to work with relative peace. I do not miss the radio. I like to think that God shows up every morning to strengthen me for whatever I will encounter that day.

Where did God show up in my life? Well about 2 1/2 years ago I was trying to live my life on my own... which I was doing a very poor job at... I had no direction and really didn't live my life the way I should have God had shown up so to speak in my life many times before but like many people I just thought well you can do this one on your own Mike. Then one day a little over a month after meeting my now wife Danielle I was setting in a revival service I'll never forget it because at first I felt kinda funny being there but I had been coming to Living Water for about a month and God had been deeling with me for a couple weeks before the service and there was alot of talk of "Getting right with God" and I knew deep in my heart that if something was to happen to me that I hadn't made peace. Pastor's dad preached a sermon on December 4th (my mothers b-day) and while Pastor John was preaching the Lord began to speak to me and it was like he was saying Mike I can show you what you are missing, at the end Pastor John gave the alter call and asked and I will never forget his words, he said "is there anyone out there who would like to know Jesus as there savior" before I could think my hand was in the air and honestly I think it was more than me just raising it because I felt for the first time drawn inward to God, before then I had never felt God's love the way I was feeling it that Sunday. Pastor it was beautiful I'll never forget that moment as Pastor John began to pray with me to accept Jesus into my heart and to walk with him. Since accepting Jesus I have a new lease on life I feel my life is now complete because Jesus is more than my Master he is my best friend and I can share anything with him that I desire. But that is where God showed up on my door step.
